About the Evergreen Lacrosse Club
Based out of the Evergreen Sportsplex in Leesburg, Virginia, the Evergreen Lacrosse Club (ELC) is a development-focused travel club that fields elite boys travel teams from the 5th grade through the 12th grade. ELC offers high level, year-round training and instruction through a unique, three-part training methodology:
- Positional Academies
- Live Reps & IQ Training
- Team Training
In addition to our elite travel club, ELC also offers training opportunities for those outside of the travel club through camps, clinics, leagues and private training.
ELC is owned by Play to Win (PTW) LLC, a professional sports management company that is made up of dedicated, full-time staff that enhances operations and administrative support for our club families located at their home, the Evergreen Sportsplex in Leesburg, Virginia.
The Evergreen Lacrosse Club launched in December of 2014 where their initial focus was to simply be a third-part that provided high quality instruction for individual athletes, high school teams, club teams and recreational programs at a state-of-the-art facility. But after a very successful winter training program, numerous families who had participated in the training and benefited from it wanted to call Evergreen their home in the form of travel teams. After careful consideration and multiple attempts to shy away from the travel scene, ELC formed their first teams in the Summer of 2015; a U11, U13 and U15. Flash-forward to 2018, ELC now fields boys travel teams at every graduation year from 2026 through 2019.
Coaches Development and Screening
Our Evergreen coaches have a variety of experiences and backgrounds in coaching. We believe in hiring coaches who share the same values as our staff, and at the same time can bring something different to the table. We are excited to have many of them involved with coaching at the high school and/or collegiate level. We also have coaches who are current college lacrosse players who bring with them valuable perspectives of real-time expectations at the collegiate level.
We know that our coaches are one of the most important factors in our success as a program and we are committed to having the best in the area. We require background checks prior to being hired. We also provide ongoing training throughout the season, not only in lacrosse development but also in leadership, coaching and mentoring. We believe our coaches should be expected to develop like our players – every coach, at any level, can improve as a leader!
