Boys House League

House league games are played Sundays 6:30 pm - 10 pm. Each team will play two games. The games will follow NFHS rules with a 25 minute running clock.  Clinics are Fridays 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm.
 

high school (rising 9th-12th graders)

  • Full field games on turf fields
  • 7 week league that ends with championship, 3rd place, and 5th place games. (Teams will play two games every Sunday)
  • Round-Robin tournament play with teams ranked by wins, goals for, and goals against
  • Academy-Style House League Training will be held on Fridays to enhance your position specific game play

Middle School (rising 7th-8th graders)

  • Half field games played sideline to sideline
  • 8v8 ( 3 midfielders, 2 attacks, 2 defensive men, and a goalie)
  • 7 week league that ends with championship, 3rd place, and 5th place games. (Teams will play two games every Sunday)
  • Round-Robin tournament play with teams ranked by wins, goals for, and goals against
  • Academy-Style House League Training will be held on Fridays to enhance your position specific game play

Youth (rising 5th-6th graders) & (rising 3rd-4th graders)
 

*For rising 3rd and 4th graders: depending on the numbers, players will play Sunday under the following rules listed. If the numbers are low, upon parent request; players can play up with rising 5th and 6th graders or play down with our Root Academy league.

  • Half field games played sideline to sideline  
  • 8v8 ( 3 midfielders, 2 attacks, 2 defensive men, and a goalie)
  • No Goalie (3 pass hot rule) * No offside (encouraging stick skills)
  • 7 week league that ends with championship, 3rd place, and 5th place games. (Teams will play two games every Sunday)

  • Academy-Style House League Training will be held on Fridays to enhance your position specific game play

philosophy

Our philosophy is to improve the following aspects of the lacrosse game in our House league clinics.

Mentally

  • Build mental discipline, confidence, lacrosse IQ, and great work ethics to prepare for a practice and game.

Fundamentally

  • Improve stick skills such as handling, protection, passing, catching, shooting, and ground ball technique in open space and tight space.  Capitalize in proper footwork and unsettled situations. 

Competitively

  • Develop an edge and indescribable feeling that only athletes know about in our house league games, clinic scrimmages and clinic drills against players of similar skills built in our training program to assess and improve your lacrosse game.

 Performance

  • Increase speed, agility, and endurance.

Position Specific

  • Increase your development as a players with our position specific drills that will allow you to enhance in field decisions in settle and unsettle situations by learning basic and advance offensive/defensive/goalkeeping/face off skills from our coaching staff.
